Students Across All Disciplines (Masters/PhD)
Job description
This is a remote, project-based opportunity for currently enrolled graduate students across academic disciplines to contribute to AI evaluation research.
In this role, you will apply domain expertise developed through graduate-level coursework, research, and academic training to evaluate, write, and validate content requiring true subject-matter knowledge.
Work is asynchronous, flexible, and assigned on a project-by-project basis. You choose which projects to accept, with an expected commitment of up to 10 hours per week per project window.

Responsibilities
Domain-Specific Evaluation
- Apply academic expertise to evaluate and validate complex content
- Assess accuracy, depth, and quality from a trained specialist perspective
- Identify:
- Errors
- Ambiguities
- Missing or incomplete reasoning
Structured Feedback
- Provide clear, well-reasoned written explanations for evaluation decisions
- Document domain-specific reasoning and judgments
Multimodal Interpretation
- Interpret and evaluate:
- Text-based content
- Visual materials such as:
- Diagrams
- Schematics
- Spectra
- Maps
- Clinical images
- Data charts
- Technical figures
Project-Based Work
- Complete defined annotation tasks per project window (10–20 hours/week)
- Maintain consistency and accuracy across assignments
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in:
- Master’s program, PhD program, MD, or MD/PhD program
Strong ability to write clear, structured academic reasoning in English
Deep familiarity with disciplinary conventions and technical vocabulary
Ability to interpret domain-specific visual or technical materials
Reliable internet access for remote asynchronous work
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced academic stage (e.g., qualifying exams completed, clinical rotations, MS3/MS4, or equivalent progress)
Active research experience involving:
- Imaging data
- Microscopy
- Spectral analysis
- GIS or mapping systems
- CAD or engineering models
- Archival or visual datasets
Prior experience in:
- Annotation or labeling
- AI evaluation workflows
- Research assistant roles
Familiarity with:
- Large language models
- Multimodal AI systems
- Computational or quantitative methods
Affiliation with a strong research program or institution
