Software Engineer IV

Horizon Cloud and Mobile platform team enables the Horizon ecosystem to expand to flat screens and mobile devices. With a major expansion push in 2025 leading into 2026, systems built by this team will onboard millions of users on to Meta Horizon (embodied VR and 2D social environment). We work on a deep and broad stack encompassing virtualization, game streaming, custom game engines and mobile environments. The team scope is expanding and is suitable for people looking to work and grow in technology-heavy areas.

Skills required:**
- Bachelors in computer science, engineering, etc. Related to role.
- Over 5 years of experience in one of the domains: RTC protocols (WebRTC/RTP), Codecs(H.264, VP9, AV1), Network programming(TCP/UDP/Real time transmission), GPU programming (CUDA).
- Design, develop, and maintain RTC video streaming systems and infrastructure.
- Implement and optimize video encoding, decoding, and transmission protocols to ensure low latency and high reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and streaming quality issues.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of scalable, distributed streaming platforms.
- Experience with SQL and data engineering.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $79.15/hour - $98.93/hour.
