Producer IV

Meta

General Contractor
United States June 5, 2026

Job description

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Post Producer (Contract Worker) to anchor day-to-day post-production delivery across Meta Reality Labs Entertainment's (RLE) Video Production (RVP) slate. This is a cross-vertical generalist role designed to load-balance with our existing Sports Post-Production Lead — capable of flexing across both narrative film / series and sports (live highlights + tentpole + bi-weekly cadence) depending on slate demand on any given week.

The successful candidate will own day-to-day post-production execution for the portfolio of titles assigned to them at any given time: tracking deliverables, managing external vendor relationships, driving notes turnaround between creative, partners, and vendors, hitting locked-cut + master-delivery milestones, and serving as the operational layer between RVP leadership and external post-production vendors. They will work in close partnership with the Sports Post-Production Lead to dynamically rebalance ownership of in-flight work as bursts hit either vertical week-over-week.This role operates as the post-production support layer behind RLE's Creative Producers/EPs, running the post-production execution machine behind them so Producers stay focused on creative + relationship layers.

This is a remote, contract worker (CW) position and not a full-time employee (FTE) role. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating both narrative film / series rhythms (per-episode, per-film, vendor-heavy approval cycles) and live sports rhythms (highlights cadence, tentpole bursts, fast-turnaround windows) — and has the operational maturity to dynamically pick up and put down work as the slate demands.

Job Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Post-Production Delivery (Cross-Vertical)
Own day-to-day post-production execution for assigned titles across both narrative film / series and sports portfolios — re-flexing weekly based on slate demand
Track active in-flight cuts, notes cycles, vendor deliverables, and master-delivery milestones across portfolio
Drive notes turnaround between Meta creative, execs, partners (studios, streamers, leagues), and external post vendors
Manage locked-cut → master-delivery handoffs to the platform ingest team

Narrative Film / Series — Narrative Workflow
Episode-level / feature-level post production for narrative film + series projects in the RVP slate (multi-episode series in active 2D + 3D + VR180 cycles; narrative features in conversion + native 3D pipelines)
Manage external post-production vendor relationships across the studio + streamer pipeline (conversion, finishing, color, VFX, deliverable, and similar vendor categories)
Director review coordination — both headset-based and theater-based reviews
Multi-vendor sequence coordination on hybrid 2D / 3D / VR180 deliverables

Sports — Live + Episodic Workflow
Support highlights weekly cadence + tentpole sports events as the load-balance partner to the Sports Post-Production Lead
Support cadence-based sports productions with global league and platform partners
Cover sports post-production load during periods of high sports volume or Sports Post-Production Lead OOO

Load-Balancing with Sports Post-Production Lead
Daily / weekly check-ins to assess current vertical load + reallocate ownership as needed
Transparent handoff documentation when in-flight work transfers between owners
Joint escalation to RVP leadership when both verticals are bursting simultaneously

Vendor Management
Primary day-to-day POC for assigned external post-production vendors
Track deliverable specs, deadlines, and quality bar across vendors
Support vendor onboarding (with RVP technical leads) when new partners come online
Escalate vendor risk / delivery risk to RVP leadership early

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with the RVP Post Coordinator + Sports Coordinator on cross-slate tracking + reporting
Coordinate with RVP Technical Production & Enablement when titles require technical SME engagement
Partner with the internal platform ingest team on locked-cut → master delivery handoffs
Coordinate with Programming, PMM, and Audience teams on launch-readiness rhythms

Documentation & Process
Maintain canonical per-title post-production tracking in RVP's project management tooling
Document workflows, decisions, and process improvements for future repeatability
Contribute to the evolution of RVP's post-production playbooks and standard operating procedures

Must have Skills:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple in-flight projects simultaneously across different delivery rhythms (per-episode / per-film + per-event / per-cadence)
Strong external vendor management experience — direct POC accountability for vendor deliverables, specs, and quality bar
Familiarity with industry-standard post-production tooling, deliverable specs, and vendor workflows
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail and deliverable-tracking discipline
Flexibility to operate across multiple time zones (US-based; some flexibility for partner / vendor time zones in EU and Asia as needed)
Familiarity with AI tools and workflows in a media production context — and the curiosity to adopt new AI-augmented patterns as our team integrates them into our pipeline

Nice to have
Comfortable working independently and as part of a distributed, primarily remote team
Self-motivated with the operational maturity to dynamically reprioritize work as slate demand shifts week-over-week
Experience with director and partner review cycles — including immersive (VR180, 3D) review formats as a strong plus
Experience with VR, immersive video, 3D content, or live broadcast strongly preferred
Background: Streamer background (Netflix, League (NBA, etc), Hulu, etc., film maker agency, general media landscape

Education/Experience:
8+ years experience in post-production producing or supervising roles, ideally with exposure to both narrative content (film, series) and live / sports formats
None required — equivalent professional post-production experience accepted in lieu of a degree. Bachelor's in Film/Media/Communications a plus. No certifications required.
