Role Overview
Turing is seeking Material Engineering and Material Science experts to review AI training problems and research environments developed for a frontier AI laboratory.
This role focuses on evaluating the quality of scientific problems rather than solving them.
Experts will assess whether tasks are:
- Scientifically realistic
- Technically accurate
- Well-designed
- Properly graded
- Suitable for AI training and evaluation
Typical tasks require approximately 30-90 minutes to complete.
Responsibilities
- Review AI training problems related to Material Science and Material Engineering
- Evaluate scientific accuracy and realism
- Assess whether tasks are appropriately designed and graded
- Identify issues with scientific validity, problem design, evaluation methodology, and task clarity
- Provide structured feedback and detailed annotations
- Contribute to improving AI training and evaluation environments
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Material Science, Materials Engineering, or a related field
OR
- 4+ years of professional experience in Material Science or Materials Engineering
