Precision Medicine Data Lead
Job description
Precision Medicine Data Lead (AI Training)
About the Role
What if your expertise in genomics and clinical data could directly shape how AI understands and advances personalized medicine — at a global scale?
We're looking for a Precision Medicine Data Lead to help build and guide the data foundations that power next-generation AI models in healthcare. You'll bring together complex genomic, clinical, and biomarker datasets and transform them into structured, high-quality insights that teach AI how to reason about precision medicine.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for senior professionals who want meaningful, high-impact work without the constraints of a traditional full-time role.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design, oversee, and optimize data pipelines that integrate genomics, clinical records, biomarkers, and other healthcare datasets into unified analytics platforms
- Lead analytical strategies that convert complex, multi-source datasets into actionable insights for research, clinical decision support, and precision medicine applications
- Evaluate and improve how AI models handle healthcare and genomic data — ensuring outputs are accurate, clinically meaningful, and scientifically sound
- Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and technical teams to ensure data quality, governance, and regulatory alignment
- Translate complex data findings into clear, structured outputs for scientific and clinical stakeholders
- Apply your domain expertise to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities in AI-generated healthcare content
Who You Are
- Experienced with large-scale healthcare, genomic, or life sciences datasets in analytics, research, or data leadership roles
- Strong foundation in data integration, data governance, and translating complex data into meaningful insights for scientific or clinical audiences
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with clinical, research, and engineering teams in regulated or highly technical environments
- Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating data quality and analytical outputs
- Self-directed and reliable — you can manage your own work and deliver consistently without close supervision
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation systems
- Background in bioinformatics, computational biology, or clinical informatics
- Familiarity with EHR systems, genomic databases, or precision medicine platforms
- Experience in regulated environments such as clinical research, pharma, or health tech
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside world-leading research labs and AI teams
- Fully remote and flexible — structure your hours around your life, not the other way around
- Freelance autonomy with the substance of genuinely important, high-stakes work
- Direct impact on how AI models understand and reason about precision medicine and genomics
- Exposure to advanced large language models and how they're trained on scientific and clinical data
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
