About the Role

Join the team as a Go Developer and help evaluate and train next-generation AI-powered coding tools in highly confidential alpha-stage environments.

This part-time remote opportunity is designed for experienced Go developers who enjoy technical exploration, backend engineering, AI-assisted development tools, and providing detailed feedback on emerging technologies.

You will combine software development expertise with hands-on evaluation of cutting-edge AI coding systems.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

  • Develop and maintain REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and backend services using modern Go development practices
  • Implement data validation, error handling, and performance optimization
  • Execute database migrations and backend improvements

AI Model Evaluation

  • Test and evaluate alpha-stage AI coding models within Cursor
  • Participate in focused testing periods consisting of multiple 4-day testing cycles (5+ hours per day during testing sessions)
  • Assess how AI models perform in real-world software engineering workflows

Bug Identification & Reporting

  • Identify bugs, incidents, edge cases, and model failures
  • Create detailed bug reports, incident reports, technical documentation, and annotated screenshots
  • Provide actionable recommendations for improving model performance

Research Collaboration

  • Collaborate with research teams through Slack and other communication channels
  • Share technical insights and observations in real time
  • Complete structured feedback surveys after testing cycles
  • Contribute to improving AI-assisted software development experiences

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional Golang development experience
  • Strong expertise in Go (Golang), REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend development
  • Experience with data validation, error handling, debugging, and backend architecture
  • Familiarity with AI-powered coding tools; experience with Cursor is highly preferred
  • Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and technical reporting
  • Strong enthusiasm for coding, experimentation, rapid prototyping, and emerging technologies
  • Ability to thoroughly document findings while maintaining confidentiality

  • Contributions to open-source projects and active GitHub profile
  • Experience evaluating developer tools, technical products, and engineering workflows
