Bash Quality Assurance Lead (QAL)

Job Summary

As a Bash Quality Assurance Lead (QAL), you will oversee quality, consistency, and contributor performance across Bash and shell scripting AI training projects.

This role focuses on reviewing AI-generated Bash code, evaluating trainer and QA work, maintaining quality standards, providing feedback, and ensuring training data aligns with project guidelines and client expectations.

Your work will directly contribute to improving advanced AI systems by ensuring shell scripting content is accurate, safe, executable, maintainable, and technically correct.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Monitoring

• Review Bash-related training tasks and QA outputs
• Identify quality issues and recurring error patterns
• Provide written feedback and escalate critical concerns

Code Review

• Evaluate:
  • Bash scripts
  • Shell automation workflows
  • CLI solutions
  • Debugging responses
  • Technical explanations

for correctness, safety, and compliance with project requirements.

Trainer & QA Communication

• Communicate updates regarding:
  • Guidelines
  • Workflow changes

Contributor Support

• Answer questions related to:
  • Bash scripting
  • Linux commands
  • Quoting
  • Portability
  • Permissions
  • Pipelines
  • Rubric interpretation

Activation Management

• Engage inactive contributors
• Track follow-ups and participation
• Report contributor availability concerns

Documentation & Onboarding

• Create and maintain:

  • Onboarding materials

• Conduct onboarding and training sessions covering:

  • Bash workflows
  • Safety expectations
  • Review processes
  • Project rubrics

Safety Review

• Identify and flag:

  • Credential exposure
  • Command injection risks
  • Misleading production guidance

Process Improvement

• Develop scalable QA workflows and quality assurance processes
• Identify recurring gaps and propose improvements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
  • Computer Science

  • Information Technology

or equivalent professional experience.

• Strong English communication skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience with:
