About the Role

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to support a Frontier Code Agents project.

This role focuses on evaluating and improving frontier AI coding models through realistic iOS engineering workflows and structured technical assessments.

Rather than traditional mobile application development, contributors use professional iOS engineering expertise to review, compare, and improve AI-generated implementations, mobile architectures, and engineering decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate AI Coding Agents

  • Review AI-generated mobile application code for correctness, maintainability, performance, and code quality

Mobile Engineering Assessment

  • Apply professional judgment to realistic iOS engineering scenarios
  • Review application architecture, Swift implementations, framework usage, performance optimizations, and mobile engineering best practices

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of professional iOS engineering experience
  • Experience building and maintaining production iOS applications
  • Strong experience with Swift, modern iOS frameworks, and native mobile development

AI Coding Tools

Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or similar tools.

Important Note

Mercor currently cannot support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates.

Compensation

  • $400 per accepted task (~$85/hr effective rate)
