Turkish Quality Assurance Lead (QAL)

About the Role

This is a remote, hourly contractor role for a Turkish Quality Assurance Lead (QAL) responsible for overseeing quality, consistency, and contributor performance across Turkish AI training projects.

You will review AI-generated Turkish content, evaluate trainer and reviewer work, provide detailed quality feedback, maintain project documentation, support onboarding, and ensure contributors consistently follow language and evaluation standards.

This role combines Turkish language expertise, quality assurance leadership, localization review, contributor management, documentation, training, and AI evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Monitoring

• Review Turkish AI training items and QA outputs
• Identify quality issues and recurring error patterns
• Provide detailed feedback to trainers and reviewers
• Escalate recurring or critical quality concerns

Trainer & QA Communication

• Communicate project updates and guideline changes
• Share workflow updates and quality expectations
• Ensure contributors remain aligned with project requirements

Question Resolution

Respond to contributor questions regarding Turkish wording, grammar, vowel harmony, suffixation, register and tone, translation fidelity, cultural context, terminology consistency, and rubric interpretation.

Contributor Activation Management

• Follow up with inactive contributors and track engagement
• Encourage participation and task completion

Documentation Management

Create and maintain style guides, FAQs, quality notes, examples, trackers, honeypots, and onboarding materials.

Onboarding & Training

• Conduct onboarding sessions for trainers and reviewers
• Explain project workflows, quality standards, evaluation rubrics, Turkish-specific language requirements, and localization expectations

Quality Alignment

• Ensure contributors apply Turkish language guidelines consistently
• Maintain terminology and style consistency across projects
• Monitor compliance with evolving project requirements

Process Improvement

• Identify recurring quality gaps and recommend workflow improvements
• Help build scalable QA processes for Turkish-language projects

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Native or near-native Turkish proficiency and strong English communication skills
• 3+ years of professional experience in Turkish writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, AI training, education, or annotation workflows
• Deep understanding of Turkish grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, vowel harmony, agglutinative structures, suffixation, tone, register, and cultural context
• Ability to identify mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, terminology inconsistencies, and rubric violations
• Strong analytical and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading QA teams, review teams, annotation teams, or language training teams
• Experience with AI training, LLM evaluation, prompt evaluation, rubric-based review, or data annotation projects
• Familiarity with Discord, Google Docs, Google Sheets, QA dashboards, and project management tools
