About the Role
Mindrift is seeking Civil Engineering Experts with Python experience to contribute to AI training projects focused on computational engineering and simulation-based problem solving.
In this role, you will design complex engineering problems based on real-world workflows and validate solutions using Python-based numerical methods.
This is a project-based, fully remote opportunity ideal for engineers with strong analytical skills and experience in computational modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Design computational engineering problems simulating real-world civil engineering workflows
- Create problems requiring Python-based solutions (NumPy, SciPy, etc.)
- Develop problems involving system design, optimization, and engineering analysis
- Ensure problems require numerical methods or iterative computational approaches
- Validate solutions using Python and engineering libraries
- Document clear problem statements and verified correct solutions
Ideal Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of professional experience (applied, research, or teaching)
- Strong understanding of engineering systems, constraints, and approximations
- Proficiency in Python or equivalent tools (MATLAB, R, etc.)
- Experience with numerical methods and engineering simulations
- Strong written English (C1+)
Work Details
- Work Type: Fully remote
- Engagement: Freelance / project-based
- Schedule: Part-time (10–20 hours/week during active phases)
Compensation
- Earn up to $55/hour depending on contribution level and performance
- Project-based earnings may vary depending on scope and complexity
