Job Summary
Mercor is hiring Healthcare Workflow Experts (Clinical, Revenue Cycle & Payer Systems) to define and evaluate real-world workflows across healthcare systems.
You will break down how clinicians, operators, and analysts actually use healthcare platforms in practice—going beyond features to map complete workflows across clinical care, billing, and payer systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Map end-to-end workflows across healthcare systems (not just features).
- Describe how data flows across systems: intake → processing → decision → output.
- Provide structured workflow breakdowns (e.g., prior authorization, imaging review, lab workflows, claims adjudication).
- Identify decision points, compliance constraints, and edge cases.
- Evaluate expected competencies of healthcare professionals using each system.
- Produce clear, high-quality structured writeups within defined timeframes.
Example Work
- Radiology workflows (e.g., ingest imaging → review → annotate → compare priors → generate report).
- Claims workflows (e.g., intake → coding → submission → adjudication → reimbursement).
- Prior authorization and utilization review processes.

- Dictation Tools: Dragon Medical One, Nuance PowerScribe, DeepScribe

Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with at least one listed system (multiple preferred).
- Background in clinical care, healthcare operations, revenue cycle, or payer systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and data flows.
- Ability to articulate real-world workflows (not just features).
- Clear, structured written communication.
- Ability to produce high-quality work efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across multiple domains (clinical + billing, payer + provider).
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (DICOM, HL7, FHIR).
- Experience with compliance workflows (HIPAA, prior authorization, 340B).
- Background in high-volume or complex healthcare environments.
Contract & Payment
- Employment Type: Contract (Freelance)
- Location: Remote (Worldwide)
- Pay: $90 – $120 per hour
- Payments are made weekly via Stripe or Wise.
