Multilingual Health and Medicine Expert

1. Role Overview

Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab on a large-scale AI training initiative focused on improving medical reasoning, clinical knowledge application, and health-related analysis in advanced language models. We’re seeking experienced Health and Medicine professionals to contribute by creating and evaluating health- and medicine-related prompts and responses.

This is a multilingual opportunity. We are specifically seeking experts who are fluent and professionally active in one or more of the following languages:

Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi.

Importantly, we are not looking for translation ability alone. Candidates must have real-world professional experience practicing or working within healthcare systems in their language and cultural context, with familiarity in local clinical guidelines, medical terminology, regulatory standards, and patient communication norms.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Author realistic health and medicine prompts spanning clinical reasoning, diagnosis differentials, treatment planning, pharmacology, public health, and patient education
• Review and revise AI-generated responses for clinical accuracy, safety, clarity, and adherence to professional standards
• Write high-quality human-authored “gold” responses for complex or ambiguous medical scenarios
• Create controlled prompt variations that test subtle differences in patient demographics, comorbidities, care settings, or regional guidelines
• Evaluate outputs across different tones (clinical, educational, advisory) and instruction constraints
• Identify model failure cases involving unsafe recommendations, incorrect dosing logic, flawed clinical reasoning, or culturally inappropriate patient guidance

3. Ideal Qualifications

• Degree in Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, or a closely related healthcare field
• 2+ years of professional work experience in clinical practice, healthcare delivery, medical research, or a related medical setting
• Active professional familiarity with healthcare systems and clinical practice in at least one of the following languages: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi
• Strong understanding of local clinical guidelines, standards of care, and regulatory frameworks within your linguistic/cultural context
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills in the target language
• Ability to exercise careful, safety-conscious editorial judgment

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
