Join micro1’s customer team as a 3D Slicer Expert and contribute to the evolution of AI-driven medical imaging workflows. In this role, you will demonstrate complete, real-world 3D Slicer processes while documenting the clinical and technical reasoning behind each step.
Your expertise will help AI systems understand professional-grade medical imaging, segmentation, registration, and surgical planning practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end 3D Slicer projects from DICOM import to final processed outputs.
- Perform image segmentation, structure delineation, and advanced 3D reconstructions.
- Execute image registration and quantitative analysis within 3D Slicer.
- Document and clearly explain workflow steps, technical rationale, and clinical reasoning.
- Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary teams in radiology, neuroscience, or biomedical engineering.
- Contribute domain expertise to train AI systems on expert-level imaging workflows.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical challenges to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Professional experience using 3D Slicer for complete medical imaging workflows.
- Strong background in radiology, neuroscience, surgical planning, biomedical engineering, or related disciplines.
- Hands-on experience with DICOM workflows, segmentation, registration, and 3D visualization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage full lifecycle imaging projects.
- Comfortable working remotely in collaborative environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in biomedical engineering, medical physics, neuroscience, or related field.
- Contributions to 3D Slicer documentation or community forums.
- Experience integrating AI or machine learning into imaging or surgical planning workflows.
