Vibe Coding Web Scraping Expert (Freelance)

Job Summary

Mindrift is seeking a Vibe Coding Web Scraping Expert (Freelance) to support advanced data scraping workflows within a hybrid AI + human system.

In this role (referred to internally as an AI Pilot), you will collaborate with AI agents to execute complex web extraction and processing tasks while applying technical expertise, critical thinking, and quality control to ensure accurate and structured data delivery.

This is a part-time remote freelance opportunity ideal for professionals experienced in web scraping, automation, and data engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites.
• Ensure structured, accurate, and complete dataset delivery.
• Utilize internal tools (Apify, OpenRouter) alongside custom scraping approaches.
• Extract data from dynamic and JavaScript-rendered websites.
• Handle complex hierarchical site structures (e.g., regions → companies → details).
• Clean, normalize, validate, and structure data (CSV, JSON, Google Sheets).
• Implement batching and parallelization strategies for large datasets.
• Maintain scraping stability against site structure changes.
• Enforce strict data quality validation and formatting standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis, automation, data engineering, or software development.
• Strong Python web scraping skills (BeautifulSoup, Selenium or equivalents).
• Experience handling dynamic content (AJAX, infinite scroll, APIs).
• Strong understanding of HTML structures and data hierarchies.
• Experience cleaning and validating structured datasets.
• Familiarity with LLMs or AI automation tools.
• Strong attention to detail and independent troubleshooting skills.
• English proficiency: B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or above.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields.
• Experience with scalable scraping infrastructure.
• Exposure to AI-enhanced automation workflows.
