Job Summary

Join our customer’s team as a Bilingual Japanese Generalist and play a key role in advancing cutting-edge AI systems.

In this role, you will leverage your Japanese language expertise and subject matter knowledge to create high-quality training data that improves the accuracy, reasoning, and reliability of AI models across various domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine high-quality Japanese-language datasets reflecting real-world scenarios and expert-level understanding.
• Design and validate challenging question–answer pairs using multi-source research and credible references.
• Assess and annotate data for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with project requirements.
• Collaborate with AI trainers, engineers, and researchers to identify content gaps and improve model performance.
• Provide detailed, source-backed justifications for all created data to ensure verifiability.
• Maintain clear documentation and contribute to continuous workflow improvements.
• Communicate effectively in both Japanese and English across written and verbal formats.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Japanese and strong proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated expertise in a specific professional or academic domain (e.g., sports, music hardware, video games, etc.).
• Strong research skills with the ability to find and validate information from reliable sources.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Strong analytical thinking with a focus on logical reasoning and verification.
• Ability to create nuanced, high-quality questions and explanations.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, global team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in AI data annotation, training, or dataset curation.
• Familiarity with AI systems, knowledge modeling, or advanced research tools.
• Advanced degree or certification in a relevant subject area.

Offer Details

• Job Type: Contract (Full-time or Part-time)
• Hourly Pay: $49 – $98 per hour
• Location: Fully remote
