English Conversation Partner for AI Training

About the Role

Babel Audio is seeking English Conversation Partners to participate in recorded conversations that help train next-generation AI voice systems.

In this role, you will engage in natural, unscripted conversations with another participant. These recordings help AI systems better understand real human speech patterns, dialogue flow, and conversational context.

This is a fully remote freelance opportunity offering flexible hours and the ability to work whenever it fits your schedule.

Compensation

• $17.50 per recorded hour
• Additional performance-based incentives may be available
• Weekly payments

Responsibilities

• Join 15-minute recorded conversations with another participant
• Select a topic together and discuss it naturally
• Engage in clear, thoughtful dialogue
• Listen actively and respond authentically
• Ensure your audio remains clear throughout the recording

Example Conversation Topics

Conversations are unscripted and may include topics such as:

• A personal experience that shaped your perspective
• A hobby or interest you enjoy
• A challenge you've faced in work or daily life
• Something you've changed your opinion about over time

The goal is to have natural, engaging conversations that reflect real human interaction.

Requirements

• Fluent English speaker with clear pronunciation
• Comfortable talking with new people
• Reliable and able to follow guidelines
• Able to maintain clear audio quality throughout sessions

Technical Requirements

• Laptop or desktop computer (phones and tablets are not supported)
• External or USB microphone preferred for better audio quality
• Stable internet connection capable of supporting online calls

Work Details

• Location: Remote (United States & Canada)
• Schedule: Fully flexible
• Minimum hours: None required
• Application time: Approximately 10 minutes

Participants can record sessions whenever convenient and work as much or as little as they choose.
