Role Overview

Mercor is seeking experienced Spanish Copy Editors to support high-quality written content across AI training initiatives.

This role is ideal for detail-oriented language professionals who can ensure clarity, consistency, grammatical precision, and stylistic excellence across complex Spanish written materials.

We are looking for individuals with exceptional command of Spanish, strong editorial judgment, and a meticulous eye for detail. This role requires consistent engagement and reliability over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread Spanish-language content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and clarity
• Ensure consistency in tone, style, formatting, and terminology across documents
• Improve structure, readability, and logical flow without altering intended meaning
• Identify ambiguities, inconsistencies, and factual or structural issues
• Enforce adherence to Spanish editorial standards (e.g., RAE standards or equivalent)
• Flag unclear instructions, weak reasoning, or editorial risks in source material
• Provide thoughtful feedback to improve overall content quality

Ideal Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional copyediting experience
• Native-level fluency in Spanish (required)
• Proven track record of high-precision editorial work
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to catch subtle inconsistencies
• Familiarity with professional editorial standards (e.g., RAE or equivalent)
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality output
• Reliable availability and consistent engagement

Work Details

• Commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week
• Work Type: Fully remote and flexible
• Ongoing, consistent engagement expected
• Work involves reviewing high-volume written material
