English Video Conversation Partner for AI Training

About the Role

Babel Audio is seeking English Video Conversation Partners to participate in recorded video conversations used to train next-generation AI communication systems.

In this role, you will engage in short, natural conversations with another participant. The goal is to capture authentic dialogue that helps AI systems better understand human communication, facial expressions, and conversational dynamics.

This is a fully remote freelance opportunity offering flexible work hours and the ability to participate whenever it fits your schedule.

Compensation

• $60 per recorded hour
• Additional performance-based incentives may be available

Responsibilities

• Participate in recorded five-minute video conversations with another participant
• Engage naturally by listening, reacting, and responding with genuine interest
• Maintain clear video and audio quality during recordings
• Follow project guidelines carefully to ensure high-quality data collection

Example Conversation Topics

Conversations are informal and unscripted. Examples include:

• “What’s something you’ve been excited about lately?”
• “Tell me about a place you’d love to visit.”
• “What hobbies have you picked up recently?”

The goal is to create a natural conversation similar to meeting someone new and getting to know them.

Requirements

• Fluent English speaker with clear pronunciation
• Comfortable speaking confidently on camera
• Strong conversational and interpersonal communication skills
• Reliable and able to follow detailed project guidelines

Technical Requirements

• Camera capable of recording 720p or higher at 30 FPS
• Laptop or desktop computer (phones and tablets not supported)
• External or USB microphone preferred
• Good lighting and a distraction-free background
• Stable internet connection for smooth video calls

Work Details

• Location: Remote (United States only)
• Schedule: Fully flexible
• Minimum hours: No minimum requirement
• Project-based freelance engagement
