Role Overview

Mercor is seeking Bilingual Software Engineers to create high-quality, image-based coding training data for AI systems.

In this role, you will develop structured examples combining images, code-related prompts, and ideal responses in both English and your native language. Your work will directly improve how AI systems understand, generate, and debug code across multiple programming environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create training examples consisting of images, coding prompts, and ideal solutions
  • Write, debug, and explain code based on visual inputs (screenshots, error logs, diagrams)
  • Generate working code from UI mockups, flowcharts, and architecture diagrams
  • Identify and fix bugs from code snippets and terminal outputs
  • Write prompts and responses fluently in both English and your native language
  • Produce clean, well-documented code with proper error handling
  • Follow strict formatting and style guidelines
  • Source high-quality images (code screenshots, diagrams, error traces, UI mockups)

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and one of the following: Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, French, Chinese, or Russian
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C/C++, or HTML/CSS
  • Experience writing, reviewing, and debugging code
  • Ability to interpret system diagrams, flowcharts, and UI designs
  • Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly in writing
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and maintain consistent quality standards
