Role Overview
Mercor is seeking Bilingual STEM Experts to create high-quality, image-based STEM training data for AI systems.
In this role, you will develop structured examples combining images, prompts, and detailed responses across STEM disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, and computer science — in both English and your native language.

Your work will directly improve how AI systems understand scientific reasoning, interpret data, and respond accurately across languages.
Key Responsibilities
- Create training examples consisting of images, STEM prompts, and ideal responses
- Solve and explain problems across STEM fields (excluding pure mathematics)
- Interpret charts, diagrams, graphs, and data visualizations accurately
- Write prompts and responses fluently in both English and your native language
- Apply correct scientific notation and terminology
- Identify and correct logical or factual errors in content
- Follow strict formatting and style guidelines
- Source high-quality images (diagrams, charts, lab data, textbook materials)
Ideal Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and one of the following: Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, French, Chinese, or Russian
- Strong ability to communicate scientific reasoning clearly
- Experience with college-level STEM problem-solving
- Ability to interpret complex data visualizations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with LaTeX and scientific formatting (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and maintain quality standards
