About the Role

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to hire Professional Domain Prompt Writers for an AI model evaluation project.

In this role, experienced professionals will assess the accuracy, safety, and reliability of AI-generated responses in high-stakes domains such as finance, law, medicine, and accounting.

Your work will help improve AI systems used in real-world decision-making environments where incorrect information can have serious consequences.

Key Responsibilities

• Write realistic prompts that reflect how professionals and consumers request domain-specific advice
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for factual accuracy and domain correctness
• Verify compliance with regulatory, clinical, or professional standards
• Identify fabricated claims, incorrect citations, or misleading reasoning
• Score and rank AI outputs using structured evaluation rubrics
• Provide clear written justifications with supporting evidence

Ideal Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a professional discipline such as:
• Finance
• Accounting
• Law
• Medicine
• Healthcare
• Engineering
• Professional experience applying domain expertise in real-world advisory or practitioner roles
• Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, or professional guidelines
• Strong critical reasoning and analytical skills
• Excellent written communication skills

Project Commitment

• Estimated commitment: ~20 hours per week
• Fully remote work with flexible scheduling
