About the Project

DataForce, part of the TransPerfect family of companies, is running the Clary Image Collection Project to gather high-quality cooking images for AI training datasets.

Participants will prepare home-cooked dishes and photograph each stage of the cooking process, from ingredients to the finished meal. These images and related cooking details will help train AI systems that analyze food preparation and visual cooking data.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare a home-cooked dish of your choice
• Take photos throughout the cooking process
• Submit images of:
• Prepared ingredients before cooking
• The cooking process
• The final completed dish
• Provide basic details about the dish and preparation process

Basic Submission Requirements

Dish Details

Each submission must include:

• Dish name and description
• Brief explanation of the cooking process
• At least 4 distinct ingredients

Ingredient Photos

• Submit one clear photo of each prepared ingredient
• Ingredients must be photographed before cooking
• Each ingredient must be:
• Placed in a container
• Positioned on a weighing scale
• Include a short description and weight in grams

Final Dish Photos

• Submit approximately 11 photos of the finished dish
• Provide:
• A short description
• Dish dimensions (width, length, height in cm)
• Final dish weight

Important Rules

• All photos must be original and taken by you
• Images from the internet are not allowed
• Photos must not contain personal identifiable information (PII) such as:
• Faces
• Names
• Addresses

Eligibility Requirements

To participate, you must:

• Be 18 years or older
• Reside in the United States (excluding Illinois, Washington, and Texas)
• Own a smartphone or tablet released in 2018 or later
• Have a digital weighing scale with gram measurements and tare function
• Have at least one of the following utensils for size reference:
• Table fork
• Table knife
• Teaspoon
• Chopsticks
• Have a measuring ruler or tape measure
• Have working proficiency in English

Project Location

• Fully remote
• Photos must be taken within the United States

Project Duration

• Project runs until approximately April 2026
• After your first approved dish, you can submit multiple additional dishes
• Recommended submission rate: at least 5 dishes per week

Compensation

• $15 USD per approved dish submission
• Payment options include:

Payments are issued only after submissions are reviewed and approved by the Quality Assurance team.

Payment Processing

• PayPal or Check: 10–15 business days
• Wire Transfer: 14–17 business days (bank fees may apply; available for payments over $50)
• Gift Cards: 5–10 business days after approval
