Job Description

Role Overview

Mercor is hiring Australian Professional Voice Actors for a short-term project supporting a leading AI lab.

Participants will help improve AI models’ ability to understand and generate audio data by recording spoken content with natural pacing and clear pronunciation.

Professional voice acting experience is preferred but not strictly required. Individuals with speaking experience in music, television, podcasts, YouTube, Twitch streaming, radio, comedy, or similar fields are also encouraged to apply.

Project Details

  • Project Duration: Approximately 1–2 weeks
  • Start Date: March 9, 2026
  • Time Commitment: 2–10 hours per week
  • Pay: $225 USD per finished hour of submitted audio
  • Kickoff Call: Required before starting

Responsibilities

  • Record spoken audio following provided transcripts
  • Deliver clear, well-paced recordings with professional sound quality
  • Maintain a neutral to upbeat “customer service” tone
  • Ensure recordings follow punctuation and pacing guidelines
  • Edit recordings where necessary to match natural speech patterns
