Multilingual Business and Finance

1. Role Overview

Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab on a large-scale AI training initiative focused on improving business reasoning, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making capabilities in advanced language models. We’re seeking experienced Business and Finance professionals to contribute by creating and evaluating business- and finance-related prompts and responses.

This is a multilingual opportunity. We are specifically seeking experts who are fluent and professionally active in one or more of the following languages:

Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi.

Importantly, we are not looking for translation ability alone. Candidates must have real-world professional experience operating within business and financial environments in their language and cultural context, with familiarity in local market structures, financial terminology, regulatory frameworks, and business norms.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Author realistic business and finance prompts spanning financial statement analysis, corporate strategy, valuation, investment analysis, accounting, macroeconomics, and market dynamics
• Review and revise AI-generated responses for numerical accuracy, conceptual rigor, clarity, and adherence to professional standards
• Write high-quality human-authored “gold” responses for complex or ambiguous financial and strategic scenarios
• Create controlled prompt variations that test subtle differences in regulatory environments, market conditions, capital structures, or business models
• Evaluate outputs across different lengths, tones, and instruction constraints
• Identify model failure cases involving calculation errors, flawed financial logic, misinterpretation of economic principles, or culturally inconsistent business assumptions

3. Ideal Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field
• 2+ years of professional work experience in business, finance, consulting, investment, accounting, corporate strategy, banking, or a related domain
• Active professional familiarity with business and financial practices in at least one of the following languages: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, market conventions, and regulatory considerations within your linguistic/cultural context
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills in the target language
• Ability to work independently and make careful, well-reasoned editorial judgments

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
