Join micro1’s customer team as an Ardour Expert and contribute to the evolution of intelligent audio production systems. In this role, you will leverage your professional experience with Ardour to execute full-cycle audio production workflows while documenting your technical and creative decision-making process.
Your real-world audio engineering practices will directly inform AI systems on professional-grade recording, mixing, and mastering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complete audio production projects in Ardour, from session setup to final mix and master export.
- Demonstrate live multitrack recording workflows, including bands, orchestras, live venues, or events.
- Apply advanced session management techniques such as routing, mic placement, gain staging, and latency troubleshooting.
- Edit and comp takes, configure buses, automate mixes, apply plugins, and refine mastering outputs.
- Clearly articulate technical and artistic decisions in written and verbal formats.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate capture of professional workflows.
- Contribute documentation and structured feedback to improve AI training systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive professional experience using Ardour for end-to-end audio production.
- Expertise in multitrack live recording and high-pressure problem-solving.
- Strong background in sound design, mixing, mastering, and audio editing.
- Deep understanding of routing, plugin chains, automation, and mastering exports.
- Ability to clearly explain workflow processes and technical reasoning.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing tools or software for audio production environments.
- Background in music production, post-production, podcasting, film scoring, or sound design.
- Experience teaching, mentoring, or documenting technical audio workflows.
