Job Summary
Join our customer’s team as a Set and Exhibit Designer and contribute to the creation of immersive environments for productions and exhibitions.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Autodesk AutoCAD to translate scripts, research, and creative direction into detailed set and exhibit designs. Your work will combine conceptual storytelling with precise technical documentation, contributing to the evolution of AI-informed design workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed set and exhibit designs based on scripts, budgets, and research.
- Prepare scale working drawings, including floor plans and construction documents, using AutoCAD.
- Create preliminary renderings and layouts specifying materials, lighting, and technical elements.
- Interpret scripts and creative briefs to define location and spatial requirements.
- Adapt designs based on stakeholder feedback, budget, and fabrication constraints.
- Collaborate with creative and technical teams to ensure cohesive visual storytelling.
- Maintain clear documentation throughout the design process.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Experience preparing technical drawings and renderings for sets or exhibits.
- Strong creative and technical design capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret scripts and research to inform practical design solutions.
- Experience balancing design vision with budget and logistical constraints.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for live events, film, television, or museum exhibits.
- Familiarity with additional visualization tools (e.g., SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Background in project management or cross-functional collaboration.
