Job description

Health Policy & Management — AI Content Specialist

About the Role

Your public health expertise is needed at the frontier of AI. Alignerr partners with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer, and more accurate AI models — and we need credentialed public health professionals to help get it right.

As a Health Policy & Management AI Content Specialist, you'll put your MPH training to work challenging and improving Large Language Models on everything from epidemiological reasoning to health equity policy. This is a rare opportunity to directly shape how AI communicates health information to the world — from your own schedule, fully remote.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design Complex Public Health Scenarios — Create advanced case studies involving disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, and statistical interpretation of clinical trial data
  • Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step model responses grounded in peer-reviewed research, epidemiological evidence, and current guidelines from bodies like the CDC and WHO
  • Audit AI Health Reasoning — Evaluate AI-generated health advice and policy recommendations for accuracy, bias, logical consistency, and adherence to ethical standards
  • Refine AI Understanding — Provide structured feedback that helps models distinguish correlation from causation, communicate risk clearly, and apply culturally sensitive health messaging

Who You Are

  • Holds a Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), or closely related graduate degree
  • Strong foundational knowledge in at least two of: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy
  • Able to translate complex health data into clear, actionable, and culturally sensitive written content
  • Highly detail-oriented — precise with statistical significance, data citations, and intervention logic
  • No prior AI experience required — we'll onboard you fully

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or research coordination
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata
  • Background in health communication, clinical research, or public health surveillance

Why Join Us

  • Work directly with cutting-edge Large Language Models at the frontier of AI development
  • Fully remote and async — work on your own schedule, wherever you are
  • Freelance flexibility: high autonomy, no rigid hours, international reach
  • Meaningful impact — your expertise helps ensure AI gets public health right
  • Potential for ongoing contract renewals and expanded project involvement
